Assistant Branch Manager

Columbia, SC

POSITION SUMMARY:   Provides customer support to existing and new clients.  Ensures superior customer service is provided at all times.  Provides administrative support to the Branch Manager in areas of loan processing, file management, compliance, auditing, and policies and procedures. 


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates with and reports to the Branch Manager
  • Enhances branch profitability, productivity, and efficiency
  • Promotes marketing programs 
  • Identifies areas of improvement at branch level and communicates ideas to Branch Manager
  • Maintains knowledge of competitors' products/services and provides corporate with regional industry trends
  • Responsible for developing new business referrals
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures 
  • Assists in training and developing new employees
  • Responsible for branch audits and file management
  • Responsible for incoming phone quotes
  • Responsible for appraisal of vehicles and determines condition and damage deductions
  • Arranges transportation and sales of repossessed vehicles
  • Completes collection calls daily
  • Assigns accounts to be sent to repossession companies
  • Processes daily payments
  • Processes loans daily
  • Prepares loan documents
  • Provides all information requested by the corporate office to assist with various audits, analyses, and projects
  • Assists corporate Recovery Department, Collections Department and investigative vendors by providing information required to assist with accounts out for repossession
  • Maintains a clean and professional appearance of branch office
  • Prepares daily and monthly reports
  • Ability to work limited hours on Saturdays
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Strong customer service experience
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Problem analysis and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to sit for long periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
