The Harvest Hope Food Drive in South Carolina

HARVEST HOPE FOOD DRIVE

The 6th annual "Pack-A-Pickup" food drive is coming Wednesday June 3 and people from the midlands will have there chance to fight hunger. The need for food is growing more and more everyday. The news station WIS is sponsoring the pack a pickup food drive and they are teaming up with food bank, chick-fil-a and Jim Hudson Automotive Group to collect food and donations.

This will be publicized on WIS news 10 sunrise at 5 a.m. Collections will begin at 6:30 a.m. till 7:30p.m. They are asking the public to bring non perishable food items to any participating Chick-fil-a location in Columbia, Lexington and Sumter. All of the food will be loaded onto pickup trucks which will be provided by Jim Hudson Automotive Group and will be delivered to the Harvest Hope Food Bank and they will distribute the food to hungry people through out the community. Peach Festival in Lexington South Carolina

For 50 years, the Town of Gilbert has hosted the Lexington County Peach Festival, and it is recognized as one of the most successful events of its kind in the southeast United States.

The Lexington County Peach Festival is held every year on July 4th in Gilbert, SC at the Gilbert Community Park. Festivities kick off this year at 8:30am and stretch into the night until 10:00pm when we bring the day to a end with a huge display of fireworks. Well worth the time of waiting.
