Fort Mill Soldiers get welcomed Christmas Present! Fort Mill's Armory unit left for Fort McCoy, Wis Nov 10 for training. They Found out about three weeks ago that the military would not be able to pay for them to come home for Christmas before they go Afghanistan. The Rock Hill Herald heard about this and ran an article in the paper asking for any help to send these soldiers home for the holidays, and to their surprise the response was overwhelming. They were able to raise over $35,000 to send all 200 soldiers home for Christmas. They will have a welcome home party today between 9am and 11am at the Lowe's in Fort Mill, SC.

Jumping for joy!! It happens all the time and you see it everyday. You have a loved one who has a Birthday just a week before Christmas....What do you do? One of the most memorable Christmas mornings was when I was about 7 years old. It was one of those rare winters that it actually snowed in South Carolina. The ground was covered in white. When I went downstairs, I saw evidence that Santa had done his job. There were big, boot-shaped, snowy footprints going from the fireplace to the Christmas tree and back. I saw a billboard today for a fun event that is going on at the S.C. State Museum. It is called " Dinosaurs And Mesozoic Monsters". It is scheduled for 12-15-2009 @ 10:00 am til 5:00pm. They have all types of dinosaurs on display as well as 12 robotic dinosaurs too! They also have some interactive activities which are digging for fossils and and design a dinosaur, which sounds like fun especially if you or a family member are interested in History and dinosaurs. Afternoon Nap I think it should be a rule to close down businesses for afternoon naps. We are taught, almost from the time of birth, that taking a nap is a necessary part of our daily routine. So, as adults, why are we denied this much needed luxury? I love to see the smile on my children's faces when they open there gifts but the one thing that I enjoy the most is when they look at me after the dinner, the gifts, the house to house visiting, the packing the car, the unpacking the car and all the mess that comes with Christmas.....is the smile that I see on there faces when its bed time and you now they are so tried from the whole day that they just look at you with the sweetest smile and say "Mommy, did Santa take some gifts to the kids that don't have mommies and daddies" my son would ask. South Carolina Inmates to help the disabled! Officials in Columbia, SC say that South Carolina inmates will start training dogs to do many things to help disabled adults, and autistic kids. Opening doors, picking up laundry (hopefully I can get one I need help with this), and flipping light switches are a few of the things the dogs are being trained to do. I think this a great way to help the Humane society with finding good homes for their dogs!

WWE wrestling is once again coming to the bilo center in greenville on January 19th 2010 show starts at 6:45PM. I don't know about you but I really had a hobby of going to see the wrestling shows when I was younger except mine started when there was NWA wrestling my favorite tag team wrestlers were the rock n roll express! I loved me some Ricky Morton! I still have my 6ft life size poster of them that I threw a fit for until my daddy bought it for me. Such a big fan of them! I had front row seats every single week. Historic Brattonsville Candlelight Tours Continue! Historic Brattonsville will continue this year what they have been doing for three years now, having their Candlelight tours available from 3 to 9pm M-S. More than 80 costumed interpreters will show holiday life from the early 18th century. Cost is $12 for adults, $10 for Seniors, $6 for Kids 4 to 17, and kids 3 and under are FREE. Another Parade This evening is the Greenville SC Christmas parade. The parade starts at 6pm and runs until around 7:30pm. This parade is wonderful for children, my son loves it. There are bands galore which in and of itself is enough to get him riled up. The ending is of course where "santa" my sons one and only reason for listening to me makes his appearance. The atmosphere is festive and up beat, there is a great coffee shop at the corner of Coffee and Main that make the most wonderful hot chocolate, this just adds to the feeling. Only suggestion is that you get there early, the city closes the roads which makes parking and driving a bear!

I was sitting at my office today thinking when is this rain going to go away? So much flooding going on! Well some of us are just not as lucky as others, I received a call from a potential customer that needed to get a loan on her title because her home was needing some work. I told him!!!!!!! Let me refresh yalls memory before I get into the details of the story I have to share with you this fine day. Ok, ok.........remember when I told yall a few months ago about the basketball goal that my "new" husband was bound and determined to bring over to the house we planned to share married bliss in and I told him if he brought it that he needed to weigh it down with either sand or water so that it does not fall down on the Tundra....well guess what? Watch out for what your doing!!! Ok, I admit it, I did it. Well, ya see, ya know when you think you just missed it, and go "whew" I made it, then all of a sudden you hear something hit the pavement and you try to look back behind you in your side passenger mirror and you ain't got no side mirror to look into.....that means you didn't miss it.
