The Chin Won't Coach Carolina
"The Chin" won't coach Carolina! There has been a lot of rumors running around for the last couple years that "The Chin(Bill Cowher)" would be replacing John Fox, the current head coach for the Carolina Panthers. Well I am going to tell you why that is not going to happen. First lets look at John Fox. John Fox has been the head coach of Carolina for eight years and in that time frame only 8 other franchises have more wins, and they own the NFC south in that category including the Saints and their 13-3 record this year. Second, in his eight years in Carolina he has gone to 3 NFC championships and one Super Bowl, and has never lost more than 9 games in a season. Now on to "The Chin"! It took him 9 seasons to win a SB with the Steelers and he has a lower wining percentage than Fox in that time. Now for the real reason that "The Chin" won't coach at Carolina............... Coach John Fox runs a 4-3 Defense and a run first offense, the 4-3 depends on having very fast OLB's. Now 'The Chin" he runs a 3-4 defense and that depends on having bigger harder hitting OLB's. So in other words If coach Cowher comes to Carolina it wouldn't just put back a little it would put us back 8 years because he would basically have to build a new team from the ground up and me being a Panther fan have no want to see that!
