Habitat For Humanity Run/Walk Its time to run or walk for a good cause. The Habitat for Humanity if putting on a Run/Walk to raise money for building shelter for those families in need. Habitat for Humanity is an organization that builds homes for the families that have lost there homes do to storms, fires, hurricanes or just don't have the money to buy a home and needs a place for there family. This organization is a great cause. I know for a fact that the Habitat for Humanity is a great place to turn to in your time of need. When I was little my mother and father were separating and my mom didn't have anywhere for us to call home. A friend of my moms told her about this place and we went to one of the meetings and it was so amazing the help that they provide for the families. There were people there that were homeless with children, elderly people that have lost everything and lots of people that were just in need. My mom looked into it and were going to get a home. In the long run my parents ended up working things out and we moved back home. So from experience, I know that they are really there to help. So lets get them running shoes out and lets run/walk for a great cause. The event takes place October 10th, 2009 at Providence Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC. Sign ups takes place on September 30th through October 1st. After October 1st there will be addition fees included. There will be a 10K run, 5K run, 5K walk, and 1K youth fun Run.
