The 6th annual "Pack-A-Pickup" food drive is coming Wednesday June 3 and people from the midlands will have there chance to fight hunger. The need for food is growing more and more everyday. The news station WIS is sponsoring  the pack a pickup food drive and they are teaming up with food bank, chick-fil-a and Jim Hudson Automotive Group to collect food and donations.

This will be publicized on WIS news 10 sunrise at 5 a.m. Collections will begin at 6:30 a.m. till 7:30p.m. They are asking the public to bring non perishable food items to any participating Chick-fil-a location in Columbia, Lexington and Sumter. All of the food will be loaded onto pickup trucks which will be provided by Jim Hudson Automotive Group and will be delivered to the Harvest Hope Food Bank and they will distribute the food to hungry people through out the community. South Carolina International Festival Hey Everyone, I just wanted to tell you all about the International Festival. The International Festival is on April 3rd 10 am until 7 pm and April 5th from 12 noon to 6 pm. You will get to see all kinds of worldly artifacts, costumes and souvenirs from more than 60 country's! I think this would be a great event to take the whole family to! This fun festival will be held in Columbia, SC at the SC State Fairgrounds. I hope you all go and have a great time!! Greer, South Carolina Chili cook off will be March 19th at 6:00 PM Mmmm the smell of grandma's chili awaits all you lucky chili lovers. They are expecting between 4,000 and 5,000 visitors to Greer Station. There are twenty participating restaurants and they will be making over 500 gallons of chili. There will be a Greer's Best Chili award. Sample cups of chili will be $1.00 each and are paid for in cash. There will be plenty of Bud and Pepsi on hand.
