Historic Brattonsville Candlelight Tours Continue! Historic Brattonsville will continue this year what they have been doing for three years now, having their Candlelight tours available from 3 to 9pm M-S. More than 80 costumed interpreters will show holiday life from the early 18th century. Cost is $12 for adults, $10 for Seniors, $6 for Kids 4 to 17, and kids 3 and under are FREE. I was able to go to this last year, and it was fantastic! If you are in to History and the Holidays and you are in the Rock Hill area during the holidays this is a must see!

Kickin it up in Rock Hill Last night I had the time of my life. My husband and I went to Tequila's Mexican Restaurant here in Rock Hill. Needless to say, I discovered my vocal cords. Cords I am sure some folks wish I never found. When we got to the restaurant, low and behold they had Karaoke. What fun that was. Not everybody thought so though. In between tacos and a cold beer I was up there just a singing. (I think that's what it was) And ya know what, with every beer I had my singing seemed to just get better and better. I never knew I was that talented. I'm sure there are alot of people who says I'm still not talented, but I beg to differ. I thought I was good. "Queen Of Boyd Hill" In Rock Hill South Carolina, the most important ladies that lived in Boyd Hill will be honored this Saturday. She is not even 5 feet tall and she was the the one that turned kids into adults. She would help them with homework take them to there football or baseball games, or where ever the kids needed to go. She was a mother, a sister to all of these kids. She taught these kids to reach and be the best they could be. At her home she would keep sacks of baseballs, basketballs, soccer balls and bats, and notebook paper for homework, and lots of hugs and love for those who wanted it. Her army was uncountable kids who wanted to belong to something positive. And she gave it to each and everyone of these that lived in Boyd Hill or even the ones that didn't live there. She gave so much to this community that now they want to give to her. The Queen of Boyd Hill Mrs. Phyllis Rollins will be honored on Saturday August 22nd 2009, from 6-10 pm, at Body Hill Recreation Center. Glencairn Gardens is celebrating there 50th Anniversary. When you ask May 29th and May 30th. They are going to have so much entertainment, lots of music, a garden bazaar, food, activities for kids, garden tours, and a plant sale. If you love to be in the outdoors this time of the year then you are not going to want to miss this. So bring a picnic, blankets or lawn chairs and spread out and listen to the music or go on a tour "WOW" this is going to be so much fun. I hope you have a good time I know I will.
